“Our body has the capacity to cure itself from any ailment. Every plant, every remedy has its counterpart within the subtle essences of the human body.” – Taoist belief and Homoeopathic healing
My mother is an herbalist and taught me about herbs throughout my childhood. She showed me that the weeds growing in our yard were also our medicine. I grew up eating medicinal plants in my salad and drinking tea to stay healthy. I have continued to learn about herbal medicine and use medicinal plants almost every day to prevent disease and stay well.
As a young adult I traveled and learned more about plant medicine world wide. From hill tribes in Thailand to shaman in Peru I learned that plants and animals (that includes humans) are sharing this earth for a reason. The lessons, healing, and adaptation potential through plant medicine is vast and vital to our survival on this planet.
I continue to be a student of life every day learning more and utilizing what I know to make medicine and help clients find cures within themselves and the weeds all around them.
All my medicine is made with love. I sustainably wild craft or grow in my organic garden, many of the herbs I use in my remedies. When I don’t harvest myself I use Mountain Rose Herbs out of Eugene which is an all organic, awesome company.
“As herbs are living beings harvested for our consumption, the respect and gratitude we give to our herbal preparations will also influence their healing potential.” -Aviva Romm
